Common threaded hole between two parts (cross section) in Solidworks

I have an assembly in Solidworks consisting of two cylindrical parts. I want to drill a threaded hole where the two parts meet, so that 50 % of the hole belongs to one part and the other 50 % to the other part. In this hole a tiny screw will be placed to hold the parts together. How can I do that in Solidworks? I tried to drill half of the hole to each one of the pieces first. Solidworks refused to do it, as it isn’t a “full” hole. Any ideas? I m uploading a draft drawing of the cross section I made in Paint, I hope it will help you understand what I want.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
G.

I used indent feature while editing both parts.
Worked fine for me. Check this file for more.
