Drafting Injection Mould Tool GA Drawings

By Trevor Sheen on 09 Mar 13:40 1 answer 0 comments

Just looking for some advice on how to draft injection mould tool General Assembly (GA) drawings.

I want to include a full BOM and enough detail for machinists to understand without over complicating things.

I have seen drawings produced using other software with lines removed etc and they look nice and clear. The issue I find with SW is that it's very time consuming to remove all detail I don't want, therefore just seeking some guidance on ways to carry out the task in hand.

Some examples of what others have produced in SW would be useful.

If you want you can include on the same paper the entire assembly on the same page, if you use a big format like A0 or at least A1, an then use a detailed view or a section throw the general assembly for a better understanding of the injection mould.
