DWG in Inventor assembly

Question by Manolis Theofilos

Hi There

I have a dwg file with 3D drawing in it. I tried opening it in Fusion but got the message that it is not a valid Fusion file.
I need to import this file to an Assembly file in Inventor but Inventor refused to do so.
Is there any other way I can do this?

Far to much to write about Manolis, but if you go here it should be able to help you with what you want to do....

* In Inventor click 'open'.
* Then select the .dwg file in the file browser.
* Next you click on a small button 'options' instead of the bigger 'open' button that's next to it.
* Go trough the wizard.
* Now Inventor will rebuild the model based on the .dwg file.
