Free solidworks models

My prof was telling me that often companies have pre-made models of their engines and or other parts that you can just download to use with your current design. This is how a stumbled upon GrabCAD in the first place and it's a great resource but I'm wondering if there's something else out there in case I can't find what I need here.

I'm trying to design a dune buggy/Sandrail chassis so I need things like the axle and such to match the dimensions of the frame I'm designing to parts that are on the market.

Check out www.3dcontentcentral.com, it's managed by SolidWorks and has quite a lot of stock, as well as custom, components.

Having worked in the off road/racing market for a while I can tell you that unfortunately you won't find much. Sometimes you can find a few drawings here and there, but aftermarket car part companies do not share like that. It would certainly be nice if that did, but it is due mostly to other companies stealing designs. Are you using a standard VW front or dual A-arm? What axles are you looking for?

Many manufacturers have their products available for download, but you'll need to register with most site. Most registrations only ask for minimal information.

Nemetchek, you may want to edit your original question to show you are looking for dune buggy/baja parts. You might get better answers when users know what you are looking for in the original post.
