I've had some good success getting broom handle fibers by creating a blocked out section for the fibers in solidworks then importing to KS and using the brushed aluminium texture and playing around with the bump height, reflections, and adding an opacity map to overlay some of the transparent portions. Now I have the challenge of creating a wig, and I am at a loss of how to do hair for something like that. Please let me know if you came up with any other tips/ tricks for hair/fur/ fibres in KS. I've seen great results with imported zbrush textures but I'm not a character designer so i'm not sure if it would make sense to invest the time in learning a new program.
