how can i place a part

i have modelled up mny cnc milling table and now want to place a part on it in a certain position, how do i go about this?

As SolidTweaks suggested, the easiest method is to make an assembly. Place your CNC table in the assembly first (it become fixed in space). Then add your part to the assembly and position it with the mate tools.

You can also add parts to a part file, but then have to work with the Move Component tool to position the imported part. It isn't terrible to do, but I think you'll have better luck with an assembly.

If you have never made a SolidWorks assembly, try the tutorials built into the Help menu. It will get you started in the right direction.

you need have with solidworks - mastercam or ArtCAM to generate G-Code and 3 axes position. how can send g-code in cnc machine
