How could I machine an Iron Man Helmet through the use of 3 axis Haas Mini Mills?

By Frank Staff on 02 Oct 15:44 1 answer 0 comments

I am a student of Williamson's Free School of Mechanical Trades and I am looking for CNC projects. I, tending to be very ambitious, would like to recreate an Iron Man helm in full scale. Could anyone help me in the design and machining of the helm? I'd like to do it in multiple parts in order to actually make a "functioning" helm. More of a novelty but a definite challenge.

your best bet would be to cnc out the front half and the back separately, then create a mould from that, then cast from there
