So I have this part I want to create using the Multi-Pad feature in Catia V5. But no matter how I draw the two profiles, Catia never seems to recognize them as separate.
I guess the problem is that they overlap, because both profiles share the same circle. How do I seperate them?

FIRST CHECK THE YOUR MODEL IS HAVE CLOSED PROFILE OR NOT
MENU-TOOLS-ANLYLYS SKETCH ETC
IF IT HAVE CLOSED PROFILE THEN MSG ME I DEFINITLY HELP YOU
sketch should not touch each other , if you draw with offset condition you can get multi pad option , otherwise draw base and extrude using pad , then you can draw different sketch and use multi pad
Hugo Alanis is answers correctly but Daniel as you mention the blue profile with multipad pad not possible.
Your sketch is overlaps that is the tangent line on outer circle in such condition for your drawing multipad tool not appapplicable
Hense use method which is suggested by Hugo Alanis
hi, I've always used CATIA it is very fast. Currently use a simpler software. You can see it in this link: http://www.solidface.com/are-you-looking-for-3d-cad-design-software/
It´s not a good Idea because you get Tangency problems. When You want to habe Geometrie in one Sketch, you have to apply OutputFeature.
