How do I show a specific laminwood cut in my drawings?

I am making some 3 x 3 and 3 x 5 lumber drawings for a unit and I have to make the 3 x 3's with 9 1" squares and the 3 x 5 with 2 1.5 x 2.5 blocks is there a good way to show this is my drawings?

In a drawing you could add in some sketch lines to indicate the smaller sections, but that is not really the best way to do it.

A better option is to go back to the part and create the sketch. Then use the Curve command Split Line to divide the model face into separate regions.

Give it a try, see if it works for your task. If not, there are other ways (like making small cut features, or using the split command)

Thank you Fred I think I can make this work. I have some rounded edges that show to too but I can call out the dimensions on it and get it to work.- Thanks again for the advice.
