How to change location of pins from an iges file.

By John DiPietro on 23 Aug 14:03 2 answers 0 comments

I have imported an iges file but having difficulty relocating a few pins. I need to move four pins. They are 8.89 mm from the centre of the mounting posts. I need to move them so they are 8.79 mm from the centre of the mounting posts. Is there a way to convert an iges file to a workable model? I'm relatively new at this so please excuse my terminology. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Hope this isn't too late.

You can import a IGS part into a Multi-Solid part which can be transformed into a Assembly file with individual components. Check the attached tutorial

Anyway.. Thought that someone could find this useful

    Cheers!

Hey that was great! Thanks for your help. It saved me having to redraw the whole part for just a .1mm change. Again thank you!
