How to cut parts with a plan in an assembly

I've created an assembly from many parts. After I arranged them I realised that some of them are longer some shorter, referring to a dimension plan.
How can I trim/extend those parts to that plan?

Hi Odumitre, there is a few ways this can be done, if you up load a image of your model then other peps would be able to advice you of the best way to do this.

Hi, William,
In this assembly I have some parts that are above the "Work Plan 1". All these I want to trim to this plan. How can I do that?

Odumitre you have only uploaded the .IAM you will also need to up load all the .IPT's for this project the easy way to do that is pack N go, if you don't know how to do that then you can also just put your projects folder into a .Zip file and upload that way.

I still do not know what ITP's you want to trim so here it is without me knowing what you want.

First there is 2 ways you can do this, you can create a plan @ top level assy and then from there you can go into your IPT's one by one for the ones you want to edit. Make a new plane within that IPT from the top level one and have it with the same dimensions. Go to the 'Split tool' 'Trim Solid' select plan and it will cut it for you. The other way would be a little more easier and not so much trouble. You could Derive your full Assy and from there open it back up and put in a plane and again use the split tool to do the same job only this time is will do it all @ the same time.
