How to dimension holes on a curved surface?

By Curtis Lippert on 02 Apr 00:19 1 answer 708 views 1 comment

Not sure if I'm going crazy here but I have to dimension a hole pattern in Inventor, on a curved surface, only to find that it will not recognize the actual sizes of the holes due to the profile of the shape. I'm sure there is a simple solution, and I've finally cracked. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it was created as a hole feature I find that inventor still recognizes it... in plan and elevation views. If it was a circular extrusion... don't think it would. It might see that edge as a spline.
