How to do modal analysis of rail track in Ansys Workbench?
I want to do vibration analysis of rail track (free-free analysis & harmonic analysis) in Ansys Workbench or Abaqus.

Create the model using any 3D software and save it into iges/STEP file. Open Ansys workbench and click modal analysis and dump the model. Then go to meshing module and do meshing as per analyist requirement. In modal analysis create supports only and no need of applying loads since it is done under free vibration. After completing analysis in the tabular data an excel is generated showing mode and frequency. select the excel and right click the create mode shapes. for sample video refer below link.
