How to do sandblast finish and glossy finish on a same 3d printed model?

By Tanveer Khan on 27 May 06:25 3 answers 2 comments

Hi,
I want to design a PCB enclosure which have some faces with sandblast finish and some faces with glossy finish. I found the option of sand blast in advanced tab of appearances option. I want to ask that if I apply this in solidworks would it be reflected in 3d printed model or not?

NO......the applied appearences in the SW model, won't be reflected in the .stl file. STL is only a file to transfer the data to a 3D (rapid prototype) printer.
