How to export STL, STEP, IGES, SAT, SW or Inventor to 3D view ?

By José Barbosa on 16 Jul 09:31 4 answers 1 comment

I want to include a 3D view of my projects.
What are the steps I must take ?
Usually I work with SW2012. Does it have a way to do it ?

Thanks

    You just have to upload almost any native or universal 3D file that is not compressed and then you should be able to click on it and it will open the 3D viewer. If you go to the file tab of your project, files that can be viewed will have a little red 3D view next to them you can click.
    Hope this helps.
    Sldasm file can be viewed without the individual part files too)

    Thank you Stephen.
    It worked ! I just uploaded "LITEON Rectangular Light Bar".

    Another question :
    How can I add a file (3D model, jpg) to my projects ?
    Instance = Lockheed P-38 F Lightning

    If you look at a project, there is a left box named "3D view".
    I want to click on this box and enable rotation of the 3D model and see also front...back views.
    I posted this on "Questions".

    Thanks

    To just upload an image file such as a render just click the green plus sign. If you want to upload additional files that are not renders, click on the files tab at the top and then you will see a read button that says upload in the upper right corner.
