how couldn't help understand the tapered conditions to figure out the dimensions i did looked into the internet for answers and from what I learned and I say this according to the image attached
1:50 means reduction/addittion in 1mm for every 50 mm length.i don't know if my math is right I got the dimension for the other end as 5.68 i'm I right? please correct me if i'm wrong
thank you for your responses and clearing this
If the line under would be horizontal then 5.68 BUT
Top and down both add 34/50=.68
Suppose the line under is also that 1:50???
Yep. 6.36 is Final. You got it. Do not make this too difficult. Very quick way is to think: "what if that 34 length is 50" => It gives 1mm additional per side. Of course it's allways good to cross check. But I did checking without sincostan by imagining what if that 34 is 50.
1/50=(D-d)/L where D=larger dia and d=smaller dia by substitution i got 5.68.
now can you please show me how you got 6.36?
from what i saw that's the only information i've attached.6.36 makes sense. the line under would be horizontal means only the top is taper and bottom is horizontal??if that's what you mean then 5.68 is true. but according to the image both are taper so 6.36 and also cross checked with taper angle finding the taper length, works out to be=34 for 6.36 dimension.
i need your final opinion
