To make a mold, you can create a parallelepiped round this part and then you can use "Combine" command: http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_DVE_FEAT_COMBINE_BODIES.htm

Then, you can divide it

I add it in "Centrotavola.SLDPRT" and create the 2 halves "Corpo1" and "Corpo2"

I,tried that Autocad command "subtract" works better than mold design in Solids Works...

In solid works use cavity command in assembly,it is best suit for mold design
