thank you thank you. now if i wish to make a corresponding end cup that go with it what do I need to do? make the end cup the same diameter of the extrude? i guess the thread now couldn't be a cut it should be an extrude? thanks from advance

For metric thread look link posted upper,
mostly all threads must be Cut!
At the link look 'NUT' for internal and 'BOLT' for external thread
Just look the links and make the same way, because not necessary to do tutorial for parts that can be found at GC
