I HAVE A BLADE WITH SO MANY SMALL SURFACES.I WANT TO MERGE THEM ALL TO GET CLEAR ONE OR TWO SURFACES.HOW IT CAN BE DONE PLEASE HELP ME
Why don't you try rebuilding the part? By that I mean you stay in the same file and recreate the part over the part you already made. I'm doing my best with the information you gave me.
I'm starting to think that the top is unable to be simplified, but the bottom part is just a 4 circle loft.
This model has lost the 'resolution' of the original model and was probably generated from an .stl or similar output of the original model, as evidenced by the mesh triangles.
I'm not sure it's possible to get the original smooth surfaces exactly from that. Maybe somebody has an easy solution however.
You could fake it pretty good by recreating some sections and creating your own lofts.
YES U R RIGHT it was a .stl file . if i can convert as a solid.is it possible to merge the surfaces?
It will still have the faceted triangle patchwork if converted to a solid. I know of no easy way to smooth out the facets to become like the original surface it was exported from.
If it was my project and I needed it to be one or two surfaces, I would have two clear choices.
1. contact the person I got the .stl from and see if they could provide it in a solid (or surface) format, such as iges, step, parasolid etc.
2. If 'close enough' was ok, and/or I am not able to get access to an original solid or surface output, I would use the file you attached to build a smooth replica of the original.
By the way, 'import diagnostics' in Solidworks repaired a couple small gaps so I'm able to generate a solid from the .iges file you've provided. It still has all the triangles however.
i have solid and graphic as well as iges format isalso available.i have also uploaded it..but i dont know how to upload in the comment
USE "INTERSECT" FEATURE
and select the surfaces you want to merge..
