How to model a ... - Page 4/8

IMPORTANT!!! This splitted tutorial is obsolete, so you are advised to look to the unique tutorial here https://grabcad.com/questions/how-to-model-a-centrifugal-pump-body-spiral-construction-using-inventor-2014 (Since I posted a COMPLETE, unsplitted solution, I tried to delete this page, but I did not find the way to).

At the step 9 you have to create a circle with that radius (not diameter)!

In the step 9, the circle with Dia 123.5 mm doesn't fits in the earlier solid.

Oh, oh, you are right - in the text I wrote diameter - mea culpa!
Right now I shall correct this mistake. Thank you Mohd.

step 13, after completing the loft step on the 5 sketches, i get the error "The attempted Centerline Loft has a centerline that is not smooth. Try modifying the centerline so that it is smooth."
I tried using the outside Diam of the extrusion it still gave me errors. HELP

The selected centerline should be smooth. It was possible that you selected either the sketches in a wrong order, or another curve as centerline.
To help you, I add a file with the part in the stage before the step 13. Try to apply the same procedure to this part and see if it works.
Be sure that:
• You select the sketches in order (S1a, S2a etc.)
• You check „New Solid”
• You select the „Center Line” option and the indicated curve as the Centerline
Please answer if this was enough for you to solve the problem and if you found your mistake.
