How to reset all appearances in Solidworks assembly?

I was putting together my assembly, and am not sure what I might have clicked but all of a sudden the appearances got really weird. It's really frustrating and hard to see so it's making it very difficult to put the rest of my assembly together. Additionally I need to have pictures of my model for an upcoming presentation and this doesn't look good.

I've also tried just changing the colors of some parts, for example the screw, but only part of the screw would change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rebecca,

First, I suggest that you should either eliminate all colors on part files, or put all colors on part files, and do not mix the two. Second, if you left click on the part, the color change will become evident, if you left click on the color icon with the pencil; then eliminate the color you don't want. If that does not work for you, select the arrow symbol on the top-right of the Feature Manager tree, and review each part color shown under the color-pencil column and select the part with the unwanted color, and "Remove" color.

Good luck,

Bill
