How to take a 3D surface and turn it into a flat 2D surface in SolidWorks?

By Tyler Dodds on 26 Feb 23:16 0 answers 1541 views 0 comments

Hello All, I am trying to turn a 3D surface from a model I created in SolidWorks into a flat 2D surface/profile so that I can create a drawing that can be used to die-cut stickers. I haven't been able to find a way to make it work. I don't have any experience with the sheet metal feature in SW, and believe that may be the way to get a 2D flattened profile of the surface. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Tyler-
