Hi,

I`ve been reading a little bit about the secret of successfully copying an Autodesk Inventor Assembly using inventor design assistant whether I want to create a copy of an Assembly on this page:

http://www.cadsetterout.com/inventor-tutorials/the-secrets-of-copying-assembly-files/

But I`m a little bit confused, Does anyone know what is the best practice if I want to change all files (ipt.idw, etc) from my actual project to a another one with a different name?

I just don`t remember how to do it.I`m a little bit rusted.

Thank you before hand for your attention.

One way to do this after copying and renaming everything is to open the renemed assembly. It will not be able to find the parts and will pop up a browser allowing you to find and select the corresponding re-named parts.

    Hope this helps,
