I see many great designs

I recently purchased a 3d printer and started printing some objects and have had great success.
My question Is, How are people building the metal objects? Mills and lathes are very expensive.
I would love to start building metal projects but can't afford a mill or lathe.

Check out these two web sites. They both have reasonably priced CNC kits.

If you just want your models look metallic, you can use Metal 3D filaments. (but first check if your printer can print this kind of filaments and you have nozzle with suitable diameter, otherwise filament may stuck in nozzle or you get low quality print.)
They're made from metal powders (Aluminium or Copper or Bronze) with enough plastic (ABS or PLA) to make it printable.
