I want a design suiable for robotic arm and I want to know how many motors for the design?
I can not find the number of motors in any design of a robotic arm
Depends on its use. For standard civilian use, I would recommend 5 motors, as a 5-axis robotic arm.

Remember, each Degree of Freedom, or DOF, equals 1 more motor and encoder.
That Depends ! Motor numbers is depends on DOF required and number of joints which needs actuation. In case of 6 DOF robotic arm we use 6 motors.
