I want to make a assembly in which if i drag some component which is spring loaded,when i leave it at some extention,it retain its previous position?
I want to make a cam lock assembly in which liver is attached with spring,when i rotate the the key,spring extended at some ,when i release ,it comes to its previous position automatically?is this possible?

I think yes, but spring must be maked directly in assy as part.
Main elements for spring must be two paralel planes which is connected in assembly space avoid curved lines - spring must be maked with INPLACE mates.
