DEAR ALL ,

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT ALWAYS , AM TRYING TO IMPORT A DWG FILE WITH MANY AREAS TO SOLID WORKS, FIRST WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE FROM IMPORTING IT AS ASKETCH OR AS A 3D PART . THEN AFTER I IMPORT IT , I APPLY EXTRUDE FEATURE ON IT , HE APPLIES ONLY A THIN FEATURE AS ADEFAULT MY REQUEST IS I WANT TO CHANGE THIS THIN FEATURE TO A NORMAL BLIND OR ANY THING I CAN PLAY WITH .

    Importing from dwg 3d will alow you to choice in what plane to be your sketches and what features do you want to use in idea to create your 3d model... mostly will not work :) ... better to import your 2d drawings and 3d modeling you project using that 2d sketches. You can import 2d and use copy paste on the proper plane and full define your sketches. Good luck
