Painting 3D Prints

Question by Alex Brand

I've done several prints in PLA and have wondered if paint would work well on the surface. Does anyone have any experience in painting PLA with acrylic or oil paints?

I haven't painted any, but have used epoxy coatings and other materials to cover the surface as secondary operations.

Paint should work fine if you take the time and do it correctly:

painting the pla parts can be done but first before painting or we should clean it and make it smooth and so paint can stick well on to the surface

You can paint it with any plastic paint.
