Don't worry about the orientation just simply rotate it through your mouse.
and If you are thinking of wrong axis direction than just follow these steps:-

After putting correct value of new axis, your model will be aligned according to the tools machining direction.
That way dear Dave am already illustrated that with changing the work-plane will be let think the machine for side up.
There is no matter for the Z-axis or whatever showing in power mill, after successful creation of work-plane will tell the machine to do machining in specific side of component.
If you have any doubt than send me the model you want to do machining with, I will clear it.!!
PowerMILL hasn't changed anything. Look at the Z axis direction in SolidWorks. It's the same as the one in PowerMILL
Please don't look at the example that he shown for correction, means Added image up there.
Just Work-plane will let you to set the direction of machining..!!
