Projected Stencil Sign Lighting Inventor Studio

By Ben Brewer on 08 Jul 16:08 1 answer 800 views 0 comments

I have been attempting to create a sign for a business using the cut out of their logo on the ground using a light to project the silhouette onto the side of the building. i have it designed however in order for it to be approved i need a rendering of it actually working. Similar to a shadow puppet in reverse. I have always used spotlights that have a decay of "none" for renderings. But they do not create shadows, which the entire project revolves around. when i try to place spotlights with inverse or inverse squared lights they do not show up at all. Any suggestions?

Hi Ben, you should be a bit specific, you should include all the components on which the spotlight should probably effect, once you do that, in ray tracing mode the light focussed on the object would project its silhouttes onto the normal surface at the end
