Question about screws on Autodesk Inventor

Do you know if there's a way of picking multiple screws, same size and picking all the holes they are going to and then constrain them, instead of constraining one by one? I know you can do that with parts from the content center. But what about screws that are on a library?

Hi Nuno are you taking about screws that you have in your own library?

yes

Not that I know how, but what about creating custom content center for your screws?

You could look into Kent Keller's add in for this...Kwiksert

As Kevin pointed out, There isn't an obvious way to make constraints in the way you want. Perhaps you should suggest this to Autodesk as an idea, but I think it may be a bit complicated to execute. Sorry I can't help you on this one.

You could try placing a single screw and them using the "pattern" command (there is a circular and a rectangular pattern). It would work if the holes were typically positioned on a single bolt circle (for that you should use the circular pattern).

You can use iMate and when you place component (your screw) click on imate then right click and "place at all matching iMate"
