Recommendations for free Unix-based renderer?

By Rob Schwartz on 25 Dec 17:15 1 answer 343 views 1 comment

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody uses a free, Linux/Mac OS X based renderer, or if anyone has heard of one. I am sure that there are many out there, but I am looking for one that can render metal, water, and other textures such as matte plastic and wood. If you have used or are using a free renderer that you like especially for UNIX, then it would be great if you could share the name.

Thanks,
Rob

Lagoa can be used inside of GrabCAD Workbench and because it is cloud based and runs in your web browser can be used with any OS. I personally have found it not as easy as KeyShot or PhotoView 360 but I am going to keep trying to get the hang of it!
