A lot of times it's difficult to share the full power of a 3D model with others, especially if they don't have SolidWorks. Check out this quick tutorial on how to make a 3D PDF, it takes seconds, and it's a really awesome way to show off your designs.
I'm in a bit of a pickle here, I have files that I downloaded from GrabCAD and I have SW 2007 and they need a future version that I don't have.
Is there a way of which you can help me to send them in an older version so they can work on SW 2007.
The files are:
Wind turbine NACA 4412 profile
2 m Wind Blade
Aerogenerador / Wind turbine blade NACA 4412
Standard Blade of wind turbine (Naca 9417)
NACA 4412 High Speed wind turbine rotor with hub
wind turbine blade
This is my personal email A.firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm looking forward for your help.
Hi Ahmed, some of the models you have listed have files available in STEP, IGES and STL formats, which you should be able to import into SolidWorks.
Here's a great tutorial from a fellow GrabCadder on how to do that:
For the models only available as SolidWorks, I've posted comment with the STEP version attached, which you should be able to download and import.
The first project in your list is only available in CATIA, which I don't have, you can maybe try asking the author to upload a STEP version?
Let me know if you have any issues, hope this helps!
