Surface model of a plastic Coffee Dripper

By shaun on 25 Mar 05:57 2 answers 391 views 0 comments

I am looking for a surfacing method to model this plastic part. No molds or cavities needed; just the basic model. My so-called friend challenged me to produce a model and up till now, I have failed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Particularly with regard to the top lip and transitions.

Thanks.
I have uploaded plenty of photos. These are becoming more popular with coffee afficionados.

I basically suggest you to go for "solid to shell" stategy instead of surfacing. I would be easy to make that lip. I have attached a stp file of model (mostly similar..)
