What causes "weird" gifs on this site?

Do you know what causes animations on GrabCAD to be "weird". I made a gif of a ring changing colors (Lovely Ring). The gif looks fine, but the mini preview is sort of a disaster.

I've seen similar problems on movement animations, and always assumed it was GrabCAD trying to keep the content centered in the frame.

Looking at great animations from Trinityscsp (https://grabcad.com/trinityscsp/projects) I notice his tiled background, and thought maybe that was a fix so the site would center on the entire image.
As a test I added the white border to my gif, but that obviously did not work.

My gif is saved out of Photoshop if that helps with trouble shooting.
I'll attach the gif to this question and see if it is "weird" here as well.

Give me some good answers, and I promise to hit the "It Worked" button... Unlike some other members ;)

Another example of a messed up gif: rustic sliding door
See all the black artifacts that show up on the screen during the motion / animation? What causes that?

Hi Fred,

I thought it was a problem of the browser. I tried on different browsers on different computers but still the same results. It is definitely some bug in the GrabCAD viewer. If you notify them you should be to get some solution. I noticed the issue on trinityscsp models too.

Thanks SolidTweaks,
I'm starting to think that it may have something to do with how the gif is made. I have no proof yet, but I'm going to try some different settings, and one or two different programs to make them.

It is not a great answer, but I've narrowed it down to something Photoshop must be doing.
I made another animated gif in a program called Photoscape, and it is working fine; Diwali Rangoli

Hi Fred,

I observed this phenomenon recently in GrabCAD viewer. The last image always leaves lots of trails behind for any model. See attached images. The problem/bug seems to be in their viewer.

Maybe is this of some help?

Thanks SolidTweaks,
I've noticed that on some pages recently as well. It seems to fix itself sometimes, other times it requires a page refresh.

The gif issue is really weird though because it only seems to happen with output from Photoshop. I have not done much testing, but so far Photoscape is exporting animated gifs that don't make GrabCAD go crazy.
