What is the best CAD software for Mac?

By Shawn Murphy on 06 Feb 23:11 1 answer 0 comments

I am evaluating AutoCAD 2017 for Mac. I would like to here from you as to what is the most versatile Mac-based software. I ask this becuase I am not finding very many models on GRABCAD compatible with AutoCAD. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. (I used Catia at General dynamics in the 90's, and am getting back into the business after a long hiatus.)

    Hi Shawn,

The difficult part of choosing software in today's market is making sure it actually is compatible with mac computers. Check for compatibility before deciding. I recommend Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks though. In my opinion, they have the easiest to use interfaces and come with several engineering analysis tools like FEA and Dynamic Simulation.
