    It all depends on what you are bending, how thick it is, what tools that you are using, what angle you are bending through, the material grain direction and how you are bending it. For precise work carry out tests. For applications where it is not critical on thinner materials I use K = 0.35 and for plate rather than gauge sheet I typically use K= 0.4 or K = 0.45 on thick plate If the tooling produces very sharp bends the K factor tends to be lower
