Maybe CATIA is the most advanced modeling software used. It's all in one software package.
I think SolidWorks is better & I am sure SW overcome all others .
Catia is a most powerful software & lot of compny use it. It has so many andwance module like automotive biw design, wiring harness, ship design, ergonomics study, gsd etc.

CATIA is all in one package. Yes it's right that it is specially for Surface modeling, but even than it's much better than other CAD packages. Well SW, Creo, IV are on other level and CATIA is on other. I am learning CATIA and can feel it's scale.
Mahindra uses catia and Bosch uses unigraphics and inventor in their Nashik Plants.
i think creo elements is the best ..
it has great visuals .. unlike catia..
catia is especially for surface modelling ..
solid modelling .. creo is "the best"
i think nx cad is best
