What would be the best way to model a hair comb?
What would be the best way to model a hair comb, i have no experience in using surfaces so a answer without using one would be good. But i am thinking i may need to use it due to the curvatures.
I don't think you'll need to do any surfacing, I have a comb similar to that in my hand and it could all be modeled with solid features. The wackiest feature on my comb is a variable radius fillet on the inner edges of the outer-most, structural 'teeth'.
That's not to say you couldn't, or shouldn't do it with surfacing, but to me it looks do-able with mostly top drawer solid features.
