where do you guys find cad drawings for the mechanical parts you make

I find it really hard to find dimensioned accurate drawings of mechanical components. From Engines, machines etc etc where do you guys get the drawings from

One option is to obtain an example of the item you want to create a model of and then carefully measure each part. I find digital venires extremely useful for this.

For my engines, I look carefully at similar real life engines and examine how each part works with the rest. Then I model something along those lines. Blueprints usually aren't available, so a good imagination helps.
