Why I can't save scaled STL file in SolidWorks?

After scaling a STL file and trying to save it, SolidWorks comes out with the following message: The file could not be saved because the part's geometry is not valid for this type of save operation.

What could be the reason behind it?

Is there any others ways of scaling STL files?

Try IGES version of the file to scale it down and then again switch to STL. :D

Which version SW you have and SP?
