Wich softwarw to choose

I am about to start 3d modeling. I will need to do simulations and fea analysis.
I have played with inventor only.
My choices so far are Inventor, Solidworks and Solid Edge.
Can I have some suggestions with reasons.

i think you should go for solidworks for the start....CATIA is also a very good option if u consider.

hi ,if ur a basic user u can learn easily by using solid works, if u want to do surface work use Catia it will be the best for u, if u want to model a par ucan use ProE for 2d AUto cad is best.

think you should go for solidworks 2012 for the start. it is very easy and powerful

If you feel ambitious and awesome, use CATIA. Sketchup is a joke, at least the free version is. I haven't used SolidWorks so I can't comment on that.

Inventor. You've already started to learn it and it will accomplish what you need to do.

Thanks guys I now have 2 seats of Solidworks Premium 2012 :)
