CATIA V5 - I&S - Extrusion and Fill/Merge Surfaces
Extrusion is a surface creation tool that allows you to create a new surface by extending an existing surface in a specified direction.
The Fill/Merge Surfaces tool allows you to fill gaps between surfaces or merge two or more surfaces into a single surface.

Step 1: I&S - Extrusion and Fill/Merge Surfaces
To extrude a surface in CATIA V5:
- Select the surface you want to extrude.
- Click the Extrusion button on the I&S toolbar.
- In the Extrusion dialog box, specify the extrusion direction and distance.
- Click OK to create the extruded surface.
The Fill/Merge Surfaces tool allows you to fill gaps between surfaces or merge two or more surfaces into a single surface.
To fill/merge surfaces in CATIA V5:
- Select the surfaces you want to fill/merge.
- Click the Fill/Merge Surfaces button on the I&S toolbar.
- In the Fill/Merge Surfaces dialog box, select the Fill or Merge option.
- Click OK to fill/merge the surfaces.
