Extrude Boss and Extrude Cut

1. Step 1: Creating Sketch 1

   • Start SolidWorks
   • Create New Part

   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   • Select appropriate unit from the lower right side

   

   • Save the part by:

   File ==> Save As

   
   

   
   

   • Select Sketch Tab and click Sketch

   

   • Select Top Plane and Select Circle Option from the defined geometry box on the top and taking origin as center draw a circle

   

   
   

   
   

   • Select Smart Dimension and give dimension of diameter as 200 mm

2. Step 2: Extrude Boss

   • Open Feature tab and Click Extrude Boss/Base

   
   

   

   
   

   
   

   • Select Blind and Give Extrude dimension as 50 mm.

   
   

   

   
   

   
   

   • Finish the Boss-Extrude by clicking green tick

   
   

   

   
   

3. Step 3: Creating Sketch 2 and Extrude Cut

   • This Sketch will be used to cut the previous made extruded circle
   • Again, open sketch tab, select the top face of the cylinder and construct a circle at the origin and select smart dimension and give dimension of 180 mm

   
   

   

   
   

   
   

   • Go to Feature tab and select Extrude Cut and give Value of 40 mm

   
   

   

   
   

   
   

   • Finish the Cut-Extrude by clicking the green tick
