How to create Scene State for VR Viewer/Lists in SimLab Composer?

Scene State tools allow users to switching between the different configurations for the selected 3D model such as transforms, visibility, camera, light power, materials and render sittings states to use it in VR Viewer and Visualize Scene Options. In this tutorial, we will show you how to create Scene State to use it in VR Viewer and Lists in SimLab Composer.

  1. Step 1: Open The SimLab Composer.

    Open the Simlab Composer, you can start the program by double-clicking its desktop shortcut or from the start menu.



  2. Step 2: Import the model to make Scene State on it.

    Import the model which you want to make Scene State on it, we using a Bedside Table model.




  3. Step 3: Add Materials on the model.

    Now, click Materials in Navigation Panel to view all materials in the library, then drag-and-drop desired material on the model.



  4. Step 4: Create Scene States for the model.

    Select the model and click Scene States → Capture, the Scene State dialog will appear.


    In the dialog above, select Materials State then click Capture From Selection, now the state will appear in the Scene States library in Navigator Panel.


    Also you can edit the state in Properties Panel below by one click on it.


    Repeat above steps to add more states, to show the state on the model click double on any state in Scene States library.
