"What is O X O in chamfer dimension in Creo?"

  1. Step 1:

OXO:- Creates a chamfer that is at an offset distance (O) from the edge along each surface.
For understanding how this chamfer is created create a extrude like this

  2. Step 2:

Now create a OXO chamfer, I have defined the value of O as 150

  3. Step 3:

Open a sketch on the front surface

  4. Step 4:

Create two centerlines parallel to the two edges, at a distance of 150 each

  5. Step 5:

From the point where the two centerlines meet draw two lines perpendicular to the two edges. The length of both these lines will be 150 and they will define the start and end point of the OXO chamfer

  6. Step 6:

O1XO2:- Creates a chamfer at an offset distance (O1) from the selected edge along one surface and an offset distance (O2) from the selected edge along the other surface.
This time create an O1XO2 chamfer, I have defined O1 as 120 and O2 as 150

  7. Step 7:

Again open a sketch on the front surface and draw two centerlines parallel to respective edges and at a distance of 150 and 120

  8. Step 8:

Now again from the point where the two centerlines meet draw two lines perpendicular to the two edges. The length of one of these line will be 150 and others 120, and they will define the start and end point of the O1XO2 chamfer
