what makes soft blend unique from other blend options


Just adding a tutorial How to Use soft blend, it gives a Clear Idea

  1. Step 1:

    Most Commonly we come across inAccurate Geometry or dead sharp corner Created even after using Edge Blend , this is just One scenario There are Many Other Area we can Explore The Option

  2. Step 2:

    Even if try to Add one more Blend Over it Never Gives an Accurate Result

  3. Step 3:

    and Looks Ugly and Difficult for Cutter to Run While Programing , it could Have Been better if the Fillet Rolled over the Edge

  4. Step 4:

    Here i defines Few lines, and I am Forcing My Blend to Follow the Path Which I want it to Follow, Usually in Edge Blend i will not Have any control over the Edge of the Blend

  5. Step 5:

    Starts With selecting First set (First Face)

  6. Step 6:

    As usual like Face Blend select second Set (Second Face)

  7. Step 7:

    And Defines First Tang ency Curve ( Same side of First Set Face)

  8. Step 8:

    And Defines second Tang ency Curve ( Same side of second Set Face)

  9. Step 9:

    and Defines Center Spline Curve

  10. Step 10:

    The Result Can Be Obtained as , the Blend flows following the Defined Tang ency Curves

  11. Step 11:

    Comparison with " Edge Blend " and " Face Blend "

    Conclusion: just like as we can Define the Edge of a surface in Through curve Mesh, we can define the Edge of Blend or in simple words we can Force Blend to Follow the Path we like
