First, I want to offer three different versions of the door opening system.
These variants have no effect on a mega yacht design - mechanisms of door opening are invisible :))) ( 9-10 pic.).
All solutions in STEP files.
1. One door cylinder.
It can be standardized, special pneumatic (air damper) or hydraulic (Newtonian fluid).I think, no need to explain how they work :) (2-3 pic.)
2. Two door cylinder.
It can be also standardized, special pneumatic (air damper) or hydraulic (Newtonian fluid), in addition, it may be with the spring (spring-loaded) (4-6 pic.). The spring-loaded cylinders, springs should be at opposite sides, then, the door opening will be smooth (16 pic.).
In opposite ends of the cylinders installed springs will stop the impacts that induced by strong and unexpected wind gusts.
3. The conceptual electromechanical door system.
I think it is luxury door opening system.:)
This system can be installed in all luxury mega-yachts. It is "green", intelligent and fully automated system (7 pic).
All yachts have some kind of anemometer (mechanical, ultrasonic, etc.), from which measurement results can be controlled the door opening engine (servo) load.
For this purpose requires some controller (I use PLC).
Why this system is a "green"?
In this work, I have designed in visible places solar panel and anemometer. In reality, these things are not in this place, they are in other places, here is only symbols of this idea :) (14-15 pic.)
So, to answer of this question - I use a solar panels, to charge the deep cycle battery.
For this purpose, also can be used the vertical axis wind turbine or combinated (sun-wind-main yacht grid and the rest of these systems variation) system.
Easy Touch Panel.
I have designed a luxury, easy touch door control panel, that can communicate with passengers, by providing the basic information like wind speed, the outdoor temperature and location :) This panel also can notify about potential wind gusts (for example, shine red lights and etc.).This panel can be not only the door opening element, but it can be mounted elsewhere, and do the many different functions. I think this is a luxury :). (1, 11-13 pic.)
All these options can be installed in the top or bottom of the ship's structure. All parts made from stainless steel.
