This is the .STL file of the Portal Turret, with Base that Scott Bruins made. The original file is Portal Turret . Since, not everyone has Autocad nor Solidworks. It'll probably work best at 1/6th scale, due to the fragility of both the antenna and back leg. Your mileage may vary.
Do you use a 3D printer which uses 2 materials? (both get activated by UV, one gets jelly and the other hardens)
11 months agoOkay! since I haven't posted anything lately, here's a rundown on this guy. I printed it using a Dimension SST 768, which uses two filament plastics, both out of reel cartridges. One of which is the normal ABS we know and love, the other is a nice soapy water soluble plastic. you print whatever out at heat, let it cool, and then let it sit in a bath until the soap plastic dissolves into hot water..... which you have to watch because the latent heat of the water itself is hot enough to ruin the integrity of the ABS.... not melt, mind you, but it will still ruin things (like turret legs as a 1/8th scale version of this I was trying to make will attest)
