Alternative ways of rendering Solidworks 2012 parts/assemblies?

I'm gathering data on this subject and haven't been able to find much. I'm hoping that someone here has actual hands-on experience regarding this issue. I'm looking to see if there are ways to efficiently export parts/assemblies to applications like blender and render them. Using blender I can incorporate better scenes and camera settings. But the issue is that when I move these parts/assemblies they seems messed up. Also, I there a way or solution to retain the textures and what not of these parts or assemblies?

I don't know about imports into blender, but I doubt you'll be able to import textures as I don't believe it is a SolidWorks partner product. Keyshot and Modo both allow you to retain textures from SolidWorks files.
